IPCPR 2012 Preview: Nicaragua Releases
Earlier this week, we took a look at the new releases from the Dominican Republic for the upcoming IPCPR convention in Orlando. Today, we take a look at what is expected from Nicaragua.
From Miami Cigar & Company:
Anoranza: A box pressed beauty that will come in both 10 count and 20 count presentations. The wrapper of these cigars are made up a Nicaraguan Habano Oscuro and will be available in 4 sizes. Robusto, Toro, Belicoso and Gran Toro. In the coming week we will have a video press release to help explain the name the behind the cigar and relay the thought process behind this special project. It was one of the first things I got to work on when I came to Miami and was lucky enough to be involved in the blending. The suggested retail will be $6.50 and $8.50 before any local taxes.
Nestor Miranda Special Selection Connecticut: When Nestor goes out and enjoys all that Miami has to offer he can be found smoking his Special Selection. In the afternoon while playing Dominoes he prefers his Rosado wrapper. At night after a nice dinner, he tends to light up a Oscuro. What was missing, was a cigar for the morning cup of coffee. Thus the creation of the Connecticut Wrapper. With the Nestor Miranda Special Selection it will truly be a Good Morning, Good Afternoon & Good Night!
Nestor Miranda Danno 2012: When I came to Miami Cigar & Company, my title was being discussed with Jason. I was going to be the Director of Advertising & Marketing. This is a title that was Daniel Miranda’s title. I couldn’t have that. Much like many great teams retire a number, I felt the title should be retired as well. Thus, I took Assistant Director of Marketing & Advertising. While in Nicaragua, I asked Jason Wood if we can revisit The Danno which was made in his memory. This year the cigar undergoes a blend change. The 7 x 56 features a San Andreas Maduro wrapper with some added ligero for extra strength.
Nestor Miranda Grand Reserve 2012: What is becoming an annual tradition at Miami Cigar & Company, the Grand Reserve this year is perhaps the strongest cigar to come from the Miranda’s to date. Featuring a dark Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and fillers, this powerhouse of a cigar is limited to 1500 boxes of 10.
Looking forward to hearing everyone’s thoughts on our cigars.

Looking forward to that Añoranza and the Connie.
