IPCPR 2012 Preview: Dominican Republic Releases

I feel like I have neglected this blog as the amount of work that goes into IPCPR is mind-boggling. Can you believe it is only a little more than 2 weeks away? There are a few new projects that are coming out and I wanted to take the time to share these with you. I am very excited to say the least and I can’t wait for the feedback as you all smoke the new members of our roster.

Today is the first post in a 2 part series..

From La Aurora

La Aurora Preferidos Diamond: A full-bodied cigar from La Aurora. Yes, you heard me right. These cigars which feature a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper, over a Maduro binder bring the Preferido line to a whole new level. Right now they are available only in an 8 count box, they are set to change the way we all view La Aurora.

Cien Anos: One of the most talked about cigars in the history of La Aurora returns with the original blend for the original production of 100 Years. These cigars will be available to select retailers as part as a crate. Each store that takes a crate will get 9 boxes, plus 1 box of a very special Cien Anos in a Maduro wrapper.

Fernando Leon: Before Guillermo was at the helm his father guided the ship. The Fernando Leon is a cigar that Don Fernando only shared with very close friends and family. La Aurora has decided to share this family heirloom with their Brothers & Sisters of the leaf. The cigar which will be available in the same sizes as the Guillermo Leon will range in price from $8.00 to $10.25 before local taxes.

From La Sirena

Merlion: Made in the La Aurora factory, the Merlion features a variety of tobaccos which creates a very complex smoking experience. The wrapper is an Ecuadorian Corojo over a Brazilian binder. The filler consists of tobacco from Nicaragua, Dominican Republic and Brazil. Available in 3 sizes, this medium bodied cigar will retail between $9.00 and $11.00 before local taxes.

We hope to see you at IPCPR as we unveil some other goodies as well.
